Poonam Pandey was dating Sam Bombay for a long time and eventually married on September 1, 2020. Their wedding was organized in their private residence in Mumbai due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Just after ten days of marriage, she filed a case against her husband Bombay for assaulting and threatening her.
Bombay was arrested on 23 September and then the couple patched up after a few days, dismissing the case. People accused Poonam of staging a silly public stunt just to gain attention.
Career
In 2013, Poonam Pandey made her acting debut with Bollywood film titled Nasha. In this film, she played the role of a teacher (Anita Joseph) who ends up having a sexual relationship with one of her students. The movie posters, featuring Poonam Pandey, were set on fire by the protestors saying that the hoardings were too vulgar for the other women in the state. It went against societal policies.
