Nargis started her career as a model at the age of 16. She has worked for many freelance modelling agencies and fashion designers in America. Nargis has appeared as a contestant in American Next Top Model in 2004.
Her appearance in the Kingfisher Calendar attracted the attention of filmmaker Imtiaz Ali. He selected her for a role in the Hindi romantic drama Rockstar (2011). She made her Bollywood debut with romantic drama film Rockstar (2011). She has also done the biopic of famous Indian cricketer Mohammad Azharuddin. Nargis acted as second wife of Mohammad Azharuddin in the film titled Azhar. She made her Hollywood debut with film Spy. Fakhri was last seen in Hindi horror film ‘Amavas’, directed by Bhushan Patel. According to media report, her next film is ‘Torbaaz’ co-starring Sanjay Dutt.
