Career
Asees Kaur’s father Harjinder Singh encouraged her for singing Gurbani. She learned and started singing Gurbani at the age of 5, by herself and won accolades at the first attempt in competitions. She started learning music from Ustad Puran Shahkoti from Jalandhar.
After listening to her voice, music composer Salim Merchant called her to Mumbai for singing auditions. She has participated in various singing reality shows like “Indian Idol” and “Awaz Punjab Di“. She made her Bollywood debut with “Dildara Reprise” from Tamanchey.
Asees Kaur has also sung cover songs that were released by the Zee Music Company. They include video song ”Judaa” from ISHQEDARRIYAAN, “Chunar” from ABCD 2, “Ashq Na Ho” from Holiday, and “Dildara Reprise” fromTamanchey.
