Saurabh Netravalkar was born on October 16, 1991, in Mumbai, Maharashtra. He moved to the USA to complete his master’s degree in computer engineering but settled there. Soon, he became a part of the US team after he found better opportunities there.
Saurabh had represented India in the Under-19 World Cup held in 2010. He was heartbroken after losing against Pakistan in the Under-19 World Cup in Christchurch. He then found a similar opportunity to win for his new country USA in 2024. Subsequently, he defeated the opposing team of Pakistan in the super over and entered super eights in the T20 World Cup 2024. Before moving to USA
Saurabh has had a very diverse career as he started at a very early age. His passion for bowling was first recognized when he dismissed Yuvraj Singh by taking his wicket. At this time in 2009, he was at NCA Bengaluru on Air India’s sports scholarship. This caught everyone’s attention and he was offered to play at the prestigious BCCI Corporate Trophy. Eventually, he emerged as the highest wicket-taker.
Moreover, Saurabh took 30 wickets in the 2008/09 Cooch Behar Trophy in a U19 tri-nation series held in South Africa and then 8 wickets in the 2019 ICC U19 World Cup. He made his Ranji Trophy debut in 2013 but was deprived of the hope of joining the Indian national team or the Mumbai team due to heavy competition.

After Saurabh moved back to the USA, he played in the 2017 warm-up match for the Southern California Cricket Association XI. Here, he was recognized by the USA national team coach Pubudu Dassanayake. As a result, he joined the USA national team for the Regional Super50 tournament in the West Indies. This marked his List A debut against Leeward Islands. Saurabh was named in the squad for the 2018–19 ICC World Twenty20 Americas Qualifier and became captain for the Regional Super50 and ICC World Cricket League Division Three in 2018.
