Raashi Khanna was born in a Punjabi family in New Delhi on 30 November 1990. She was raised and completed her education in Delhi. She was not passionate about becoming an actress at first. According to Khanna, it was her destiny that made her an actress. She was interested in becoming a singer and even tried copywriting for advertisements before venturing into the acting world. She started her career as a model and eventually became the cover girl for Femina magazine in the year 2009.
